I need another job and fast. It would be really cool if I could get a job with the Marine Highway Ferry. I would be traveling up and down the Alaskan coast working on the boat doing whatever is they may hire me for. Which is fine considering that I've just been doing customer service jobs for a while now. They're holding a job fair on the 19th and I've got to get my resumes and cover letters together. When I can get this job it'd mean I could get off the frickin' island for a while and see the rest of the Southeast region.

Petersburg is known as the little Norwegian town here and is well known for the garnets you can find near the beaches. Sitka was where the Russians first settled and built onion-dome churches. Their tourist trinkets consist mainly of little idols and nesting dolls although those are pretty common around the Southeast. Juneau is the only city here that was able to cross its' bay with a bridge. They also have a mall and the Mendenhal Glacier that's accessible to anybody. In Ketchikan (where I am) we do have a glacier but you can't get to it because it's behind Deer Mountain and you have to take a helicopter or float plane around to see it.

Juneau is also full of douchebags just because they're the seat of government.
